I'm the Pauline McFarlin Walter Endowed Professor of English at the University of Tulsa where serve as the founding director of the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities and the Institute for Bob Dylan Studies.  I've written or edited ten books on modern culture and have organized over 200 public humanities events including exhibitions, performances, conferences, and community-engaged research projects.
